February 1, 2017
When Chatswood Private Hospital was first established, it featured some of the latest technology in performing ophthalmic and ENT surgeries in Sydney. A year has passed since then, and medical technology has continued to develop, but we have been committed to ensuring that our patients have access to the latest technologies and procedures in ophthalmic and ENT care. We’d like to introduce some of our latest machines and technology in our facility:
LENSAR Laser Machine: Our LENSAR Laser System is the only femtosecond cataract laser built specifically for refractive cataract surgery. Because it was designed from the ground up, every aspect of the laser has been purposefully designed to meet the needs of cataract surgeons. Its superior imaging and laser incision allows our surgeons to treat cataracts faster and more precisely than ever before. With the LENSAR machine, Chatswood Private Hospital provides patients with more options in how they want their cataract surgery performed.

NIM Nerve Monitoring Systems: Based on more than 20 years of experience and development, these nerve monitoring machines monitor EMG activity from multiple muscles. With these machines, surgeons are alerted to their patient’s every muscle movement, meaning that our surgeon’s can perform safer and more precise operations.

As the year continues on, Chatswood Private Hospital will ensure that we stay up to date on rapidly advancing medical research and development and continue to be able to provide only the best in ophthalmic and ENT care.
