Chatswood Eye Hospital Update Nov 2014

Since the sod- turning in March 2014, the project has completed excavation and foundation works. The walls of the basement continue to be erected along the perimeter, clearly defining the shape of the new building. The basement section is near completion and ground floor is underway.

The new hospital will have six operating theatres, 16 recovery trolleys, 14 day surgery recliner chairs and four overnight beds and will be a centre of excellence for eye surgery, operating room technologies and private hospital environments. It will be one of the largest private eye hospitals in Australia.

“I’m happy to see construction of the new hospital is moving quickly and on track to be completed in late 2015. I’m hoping we will be able to open the new hospital as planned in January 2016” says Roger Cronin, Chief Operating Officer of Presmed Australia.
