Chatswood Private Hospital in association with Northern Sydney Cataract Retina and Glaucoma hosted its first interactive optometry CPD event in Sydney for 2017. 80 optometrists attended to watch our ophthalmic surgeons, Dr Jay Yohendran and Dr Dov Hersh give educational talks and live surgical demonstrations.
To start the night, doctors enjoyed dinner and drinks at the adjoining Quest Hotel where they listened to interesting and informative presentations on surgical cases and techniques. Topics included: live cataract surgery, intravitreal injections and vitrectomies.
After dinner, attendees were able to see some of the procedures they had just learned about being demonstrated in our own theatres as well as see some of our latest technology being showcased. All in all, the night was a great success, with many having learned a great deal about the hospital and the surgical procedures it has to offer.
